Concrete Random

What is Concrete Random?

Each mind style is characterised by a unique combination of two factors: whether someone is more inclined towards concrete or abstract thinking, and whether they tend to think sequentially or randomly.

Concrete and abstract thinking relate to someone’s perceptual qualities. Abstract thinking involves the ability to visualise and conceive of ideas beyond what can be seen, while concrete thinking involves registering information directly through the five senses.

Sequential and random thinking relate to someone’s ordering qualities. Sequential thinking involves organising information in a linear, step-by-step manner and following a logical train of thought. Random thinking involves organising information in chunks, in no particular order, and being able to skip steps while still achieving the desired result.

People with a Concrete Random mind style are highly spontaneous and hands-on. They enjoy exploring the world around them through trial and error, and they tend to have a natural talent for hands-on activities.
